NEW YORK – March 05, 2020 – On the heels of reporting a sixth consecutive year of record revenue -- more than USD $1.64 Billion -- global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has announced the elevation of 44 attorneys to shareholder. The new shareholders span 22 offices and 13 practice areas. The firm also announced the elevation to of counsel and counsel of 34 attorneys from 18 offices, practicing in 11 areas of law.
Women, ethnic minorities, and LGBTQ+ attorneys make up more than one half of the firm’s 2020 Shareholder Class and nearly 40% of those elevated to of counsel.
“We are very proud of our 2020 class. Reaching this achievement is founded on hard work, superior client service, and leadership inside and outside of Greenberg Traurig,” said Brian L. Duffy, the firm’s Chief Executive Officer. “We have built a law firm around being proactive, creative, hardworking, and delivering quality to clients.”
“Greenberg Traurig is one firm, where individuals are respected, trusted, and empowered. It is about merit and collaboration, not politics or bureaucracy. This has again led to a record-setting year in 2019 and we are off to a strong start in 2020. We are very pleased to see these values mirrored in our 2020 class,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, the firm’s Executive Chairman.
“Empowering our attorneys to do the right thing promptly and with strength starts at the very beginning of their journey at the firm – which for most is our associate development program,” said Brad D. Kaufman, Greenberg Traurig’s Co-President and Global Chairman of Professional Development and Integration. “We are proud to see how these attorneys have grown into quality lawyers.”
