Charles J. Abrams is a well-rounded real estate attorney who represents developers, investors, owners, landlords, tenants, borrowers and lenders across a broad spectrum of commercial real estate and secured financing transactions. He has experience representing homebuilders in land acquisitions, dispositions and project development, including negotiating complex development agreements, resolving title issues, and coordinating the installation and maintenance of infrastructure and amenities. In addition, Chuck has represented borrowers as well as national and regional financial institutions in various forms of credit arrangements, including the negotiation and documentation of acquisition, construction and revolving credit loan facilities.

Experience

  • Represented a publicly traded national homebuilder in the purchases of over 3,000 acres of land and over 2,800 homesites throughout Florida.
  • Represented developer Penn-Florida Companies in the $225 million financing and subsequent $335 million financing for the Via Mizner project.
  • Represented Copperline Partners in the purchase of 93 cooperative units in The Ambassador Hotel Cooperative Apartments in the Town of Palm Beach.
  • Represented the Seller in the sale of an approximately $50 million office building with over 30 tenants in downtown Boca Raton.
  • Represented the receiver in the sale of the Palm House condominium/hotel in the Town of Palm Beach for $39.6 million.
  • Represented the Buyer in the purchase of a $20 million office building in Boca Raton, which included the simultaneous assumption of a CMBS loan.
  • Represented affiliate of Amirsaleh Family Trust in $19.5 million purchase of Via Bice on Worth Avenue in the Town of Palm Beach.
  • Represented buyers and sellers of multimillion-dollar homes.
  • Represented eight national and regional banks in originating and modifying over 70 commercial real estate loans.°
  • Represented multinational fitness operator and its franchisees in commercial leasing matters for over 25 locations in the United States and Canada.°
