NEW YORK – March 23, 2023 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP won Deal of the Year recognition from M&A Advisors in two categories – Distressed Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Deal of the Year and Materials Deal of the Year – at the organization’s 17th Annual Turnaround Awards.

The firm was awarded the Distressed M&A Deal of the Year in the $10 million to $23 million range for its work on the sale of Path Medical, LLC and substantially all its assets to a Physicians Group, LLC affiliate. Greenberg Traurig acted as legal advisor to the unsecured creditors committee in this transaction. The firm’s team was led by Miami-based Shareholder John B. Hutton III and included Shareholder Ari Newman.
Greenberg Traurig also earned Materials Deal of the Year recognition for providing legal services on the acquisition of the North American assets of Armstrong Flooring, Inc. by Gordon Brothers Asset Advisors, LLC and AHF, LLC. The acquisition was valued at approximately $110 million. Greenberg Traurig’s team was led by New York Shareholder Brian E. Greer and Boston Shareholder Jeffrey M. Wolf. The team included Boston Shareholder Joseph P. Davis III, Delaware Shareholder Dennis A. Meloro, Delaware Senior Counsel Anthony W. Clark, Boston Associate Amanda M. Blaske, New York Associate Sara A. Hoffman, and Atlanta Associate Matthew Sinnott.
In addition to the practice awards, Shareholder J. Gregory Milmoe was designated to receive The M&A Advisor’s 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award. Milmoe will be inducted into The M&A Advisor’s Hall of Fame during The M&A Advisor’s Signature Awards Gala November 15.
Award recipients were recognized at the Distressed Investing Summit March 21. According to the M&A Advisor website, the Turnaround Awards recognize excellence in deal making, accomplishments, and the contributions of leading firms and professionals.
