Asaro, chair of the Albany Health Care & FDA Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, spoke on an American Bar Association National Managed Care Institute panel titled “Managing M&A Risk: Collaboration Between In-House Counsel, External Counsel, and Risk Consultants” Dec. 15. The Managed Care Institute is an educational symposium for attorneys in private practice, in government service, and in-house who work in the area of managed care and with risk-based health care entities of all types. Asaro’s panel discussed mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions involving Managed Care Organizations, collaboration between stakeholders, divestitures, and risk transfer options to protect assets and capital in transactions.
