BOSTON – Oct. 10, 2019 – Chinh H. Pham, chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Emerging Technology Group and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group in Boston, has been elected president of the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys (NCVAA) for 2019-2020. His election was announced during the 13th Annual NCVAA Conference held Oct. 4-5, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.
Pham counsels tech clients and assists them in protecting their innovation, in leveraging and monetizing their IP portfolio and in positioning the company for commercial success. He is also a mentor to entrepreneurs and start-ups through many incubator and accelerator programs, and serves as an Attorney-in-Residence at Harvard’s Innovation Lab and Northwestern The Garage, where he advises student entrepreneurs on their business ventures. Pham is an Executive Committee member and treasurer of the Boston Bar Association, and chair of the Board of Overseers of Boston Museum of Science. In addition, Pham routinely engages with law students at Boston area schools, serving as a mentor to them as well as to many young attorneys. Pham was named a "Technology Law Trailblazer," by National Law Journal, and a “Top Emerging Tech Lawyer” by TechCrunch.
NCVAA is the first national Vietnamese bar association and has hosted annual conferences throughout the nation since 2006. Initially envisioned as an annual conference event, the NCVAA made the leap to permanent national organization status by incorporating as a bar association in 2010. The NCVAA is dedicated to the support and network-building of Vietnamese American attorneys nationwide.
