American Bar Association's 10th Annual Southeastern White Collar Crime Institute

The Southeastern White Collar Crime Institute is a two-day program featuring top-flight practitioners from around the nation covering topics such as international criminal enforcement, eDiscovery issues, health care fraud, state enforcement, public corruption prosecutions and investigations, and more.    Greenberg Traurig's Environmental & Toxic Tort Litigation Chair David Weinstein is a panelist for the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology & White-Collar Investigations" session.  Joining David is Theodore (Ted) F. Claypoole, Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP; Richard A. Kaplan, Kaplan Marino; Samir Kaushal, U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Georgia; and George Rudoy, Crowe as Moderator.

Panelists will focus on ethical issues relating to artificial intelligence, including how artificial intelligence affects white-collar practitioners, and how it can be used to prepare complex cases. They will also explore some of the biases and problems built into the use of AI in the current environment, and discuss recent enforcement trends, potential future criminal cases, and defenses that can be raised in such cases.
