Exploring Immigration / Second Residency to the EU: Portugal Golden Visa Program

This panel event and information session on the Golden Visa Program in Portugal, the 4th safest country in the world according to the Global Peace Index, was hosted by Greenberg Traurig on June 16, 2022. The Portuguese Golden Visa program is a residency by investment program that leads to European citizenship that has grown exponentially in popularity since its inception in 2012. The program allows non-EU nationals to have the freedom to live, work and study in Portugal, subject to an investment and a minimum staying of only 7 days per year. Hear from Portuguese counsel, property developers, and VC Funds representatives on the requirements, tax implications, and nuances of applying.
