NORTHERN VIRGINIA – July 20, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP added S. Mohsin Reza as an of counsel in the firm’s Northern Virginia office, where he joins the Litigation Practice.
Reza represents individual and corporate clients in state and federal court – with particular experience in courts of all different levels in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. He also counsels clients in the resolution of disputes outside of the courtroom. Much of his work has focused on representing financial institutions, Reza has worked for clients in a wide range of industries.
The addition of Reza complements an already strong and growing Financial Services Litigation Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Washington, D.C. region. In April 2022, the firm added Consumer Financial Services Litigation Shareholder Tonya M. Esposito and in 2021 added Financial Regulatory and Compliance Shareholder Benjamin M. Saul.
Reza has handled nearly every type of litigation impacting financial services companies and consumers. He has litigated hundreds of lawsuits filed by plaintiffs asserting claims under state and federal consumer protection statutes and regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Truth-in-Lending Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. He also has significant experience litigating real property disputes and advising clients through cybersecurity and data breach litigation.
“We are thrilled to continue growing our strong financial services litigation capabilities in Northern Virginia with the addition of Mohsin,” said Laura Foote Reiff and Michael R. Sklaire, co-managing shareholders of Greenberg Traurig’s Northern Virginia office, in a joint statement. “Northern Virginia’s business community is one of the fastest-growing in the United States, and we will continue to add skilled and experienced attorneys who can assist our clients with their complex and delicate work.”
Reza earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law and clerked in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, which is also known as the Rocket Docket.
