Greenberg Traurig’s Brigid F. Cech Samole Appointed as Chapman Partnership Board Chair

MIAMI – Oct. 24, 2024 – Brigid F. Cech Samole, co-chair of the Miami Litigation Practice and chair of the Miami Appeals & Legal Issues Group at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been appointed to serve as board chair of Chapman Partnership. 

Chapman Partnership, the private sector partner of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust, operates two homeless assistance centers located in Downtown Miami and Homestead, serving over 800 unhoused individuals and families daily. The organization provides comprehensive programs and services in collaboration with others to empower residents to overcome homelessness and achieve and maintain long-term self-sufficiency.

“As business leaders, we have a responsibility to assist those in need and support organizations like Chapman Partnership that help to ensure everyone has equal access to housing, education, and employment opportunities,” Cech Samole said. “Homelessness remains a significant challenge in Miami-Dade County, and the need for our services and collective effort is critical so that we can help tackle these important issues.”

With over 20 years of experience, Cech Samole is an appellate advocate who represents clients throughout the United States in federal and state court forums. She has handled hundreds of appeals and been lead drafter of substantive case papers filed in the United States Supreme Court, the federal Court of Appeals, and several state supreme courts.

Cech Samole has served on the Chapman Partnership board of trustees since 2015. From 2016 to 2021, she also served as co-chair of the “Take A Walk in Her Shoes” fundraiser, which aims to positively impact the lives of women and children experiencing homelessness in Miami, and was co-chair for Womenade, a group of women committed to increasing awareness and revenue for Chapman Partnership.

Currently, she is also co-chair of Legal Services of Greater Miami’s Leadership Committee.

Cech Samole also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Global Women’s Initiative, which supports the inclusion and advancement of women at Greenberg Traurig and in the legal profession through unique programming and resources.
