Greenberg Traurig’s Lindsay E. Hutner and Philip I. Person to Participate in PLI Cutting-Edge Employment Law Issues 2024

SAN FRANCISCO – Sept. 19, 2024 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholders Lindsay E. Hutner and Philip I. Person will present at the Practising Law Institute (PLI) Cutting-Edge Employment Law Issues 2024: The California Difference Oct. 1.

As a co-chair of the event, Hutner will give the opening remarks at the conference. She will also present on the “Year in Review/Hot Topics” panel, discussing key case developments in 2024 and examining how they will affect legal decisions in 2025.

Person will speak on “Key Wage and Hour and Class Action Updates in 2024” during the program. The panel will cover 2024 court cases concerning class, collective and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions, as well as recent wage & hour and class action claims statutes and regulations.

Hutner is co-chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice’s Employment Litigation & Trials Group. She is a focused, practical, and dedicated litigator, whose clients trust her to not only vehemently defend their interests, but offer pragmatic, no-nonsense advice, all with an eye toward their business needs. Hutner works closely with clients in defending both class actions and single-plaintiff cases involving employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, PAGA, unfair competition, enforcement of non-competes and other restrictive covenants, misappropriation of trade secrets, wrongful termination, and breach of contract.

Person serves as the co-lead of the firm’s California Wage & Hour Taskforce. He focuses his practice on representing employers in wage and hour, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, trade secret misappropriation, non-competition, non-solicitation, and whistleblower claims. Person is an experienced litigator, having defended employers against single-plaintiff and class action litigation in both federal and state courts. He also represents employers in labor and employment arbitrations.
