SAN FRANCISCO – Nov. 10, 2022 –Anthony E. Guzman II, an associate in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Labor & Employment Practice, was honored with a Minority Bar Coalition (MBC) of the San Francisco Bay Area 2022 MBC Unity Award. Guzman is a member of the board of directors of The Bar Association of San Francisco’s (BASF) Barristers Club.
The MBC Unity Awards honor leaders from member organizations, including BASF, for being exemplary in promoting the cause of diversity, according to the coalition’s website. The MBC of the San Francisco Bay Area is a network of 50 diverse bar associations sharing resources in advocacy and programming, building shared platforms, and finding issues of common cause.
Guzman, based in the firm’s San Francisco office, represents employers in traditional labor disputes and complex wage and hour class and collective actions. He regularly works with employers in the healthcare, energy, logistics, and agricultural sectors in developing strategies for union-election campaigns, workplace litigation, and executive employment agreements. Guzman has written several published articles for major legal news outlets and regularly helps coach the U.C. Berkeley, School of Law, mock trial team.
