HOUSTON – Oct. 22, 2024 –Roland Garcia, a shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Houston office, was named a 2024 Global Leader of Influence by The World Affairs Council of Greater Houston. The award will be presented at a reception Oct. 24.
Global Leaders of Influence are individuals who have made outstanding contributions and shown exceptional leadership in Houston’s international community. According to the organization, the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston’s mission is to “promote understanding of the world – its peoples, politics, economies and cultures – to enable the Houston community to participate more effectively in the global world.”
Garcia has tried lawsuits in state and federal trial courts and has argued appeals in state and federal appellate courts. He has handled many high-profile cases and has been quoted regarding such cases by The National Law Journal, Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, Austin-American Statesman, Corpus Christi Caller Times, Texas Lawyer, Law360 and more. Garcia is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America and Texas Super Lawyers Magazine. He has also been listed as receiving a Top 20 Verdicts by Texas Lawyer Magazine.
