DALLAS – Jan. 3, 2023 – Effective Jan. 1, 2023, Alicia Sienne Voltmer, shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Dallas Labor & Employment Practice, assumes the role as Chair of the Texas Restaurant Association’s (TRA’s) Greater Dallas Chapter (GDTRA).
As Chair, Voltmer will draw on her prior and extensive Board service, skills, knowledge, and passion to advance the interests of the restaurant industry through, among other things, workforce development, fundraising, advocacy, and education-based initiatives. Previously, Voltmer served as Vice Chair, Executive Committee member, Chair of the Governance Committee, Co-Chair of the Membership Committee, Board member, and Advisory Committee member of the GDTRA.
“I am grateful and excited to continue to serve the members of this dynamic organization,” Voltmer said. “Among its numerous accomplishments in recent years, the TRA worked tirelessly during the COVID-19 pandemic to protect the industry, and I look forward to contributing to the continued advancement of the mission.”
Voltmer also serves as a Board member of the TRA and the Texas Restaurant Foundation and is a participant attorney in the TRA’s Restaurant Law Center, which will be a resource for members in need of legal advice.
The TRA’s Greater Dallas Chapter vision is to be Dallas-Fort Worth's source of sustainable, socially responsible, and financially viable restaurant industry leaders, according to its website. The Chapter promotes the growth of the local restaurant industry through networking, local advocacy, and education.
Voltmer advises clients on day-to-day employment matters, including reductions in force, disciplinary actions, accommodations, hiring, and firing. She also handles client mediations, arbitrations, administrative hearings, and court proceedings involving state and federal employment laws.
