LOS ANGELES – April 26, 2022 – Robert J. Herrington, a shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, is a co-author of the American Bar Association Litigation Section’s second edition of The Class Action Fairness Act: Law and Strategy.
The second edition provides an updated analysis of the Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA)’s provisions, with examinations of statutory language, descriptions of key judicial interpretations, and specific strategy suggestions for practitioners. The book outlines key considerations attendant to current class action practice under CAFA. With chapters contributed by prominent members of the class action bars, the publication provides practical advice for both plaintiff and defense counsel, and a clearer look into the statute, its case law, and helpful strategies.
Herrington, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Class Action Litigation Practice, is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office and focuses his practice on defending consumer products companies in complex, multi-party litigation, including class actions, government enforcement litigation, product defect litigation, and mass torts. He represents companies in a variety of industries, including consumer electronics, apparel and footwear, retail, emerging technologies, video game, telecommunications, advertising and publicity, online retailing, personal care products, home appliances, automotive, and insurance.
