MIAMI – May 3, 2019 – Angelika Hunnefeld, a shareholder in the Miami Litigation and Arbitration Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been appointed to a one-year term as chair of The Florida Bar International Law Certification Committee, effective July 1. She has been a committee member for three years and currently serves as vice chair.
The Florida Bar International Law Certification Committee is responsible for writing and reviewing international law certification exams, assessing applications, examining and awarding continuing legal education (CLE) credits, and evaluating applications for recertification. As chair, Hunnefeld will lead the committee in choosing lawyers for certification, which requires applicants to demonstrate prominence in the practice of international law, including through experience, examination, and peer review.
Hunnefeld is board certified in international law by The Florida Bar. At Greenberg Traurig, she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, international business arbitration and helps clients comply with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). She is experienced in matters involving multi-jurisdictional issues, enforcement of foreign judgments and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards. Hunnefeld also assists clients with matters relating to issues arising under the anti-bribery and record-keeping provisions of the FCPA.
