WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 19, 2018 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP Real Estate Shareholder Susan E. D. Neuberg will be leading a series of presentations, along with other leading industry professionals titled, “An Introduction to Commercial Mortgage Back Securities.” The first presentation will be held at Vanderbilt University – Owen Graduate School of Management, April 20; the second presentation will be held at the offices of Ernst & Young in Boston, April 30; and the third presentation will be at the CRE Finance Council (CREFC) Annual Conference, June 13, in New York City.
Sponsored by CREFC, these sessions are intended to be an interactive program for young professionals, those new to the commercial real estate finance industry, or those looking for a refresher on commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS). Neuberg will address securitization and CMBS history, CMBS loans and deal process, CMBS structure, participants in a securitization, legal documents, CMBS investing, regulation, and current market conditions.

Neuberg focuses her practice on structuring, negotiating, and documenting debt and equity investments for major financial institutions, REITS, investment advisors, institutional, and private investors. She counsels clients in the financial services and real estate industries on complex real estate matters, debt structures, and equity joint ventures, commercial mortgaged backed securitizations, master and special servicing matters, workouts, and rating agency issues. Neuberg has wide ranging business and legal experience in a broad array of real estate, real estate finance, and capital markets transactions, including the development and construction of mixed use and hotel projects; securitized, conventional and construction lending; syndicated and mezzanine lending; workouts; restructures; servicing of nonperforming loans; note sales; and transfers of servicing rights.
