SAN FRANCISCO (June 16, 2014) — Shareholder Scott J. Bornstein with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is scheduled to speak at the 11th Annual Stanford E-Commerce Best Practices produced by Stanford Program in Law, Science and Technology, its Center for Ecommerce, and the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. The forum takes place Monday, June 16, 2014 at Stanford Law School, Stanford, California.
Bornstein will moderate on the topic of “Patent Best Practices” at 9:45 am. This session will focus on patent reform and litigation updates, current software patent issues, the impact of the new unified patent court in the EU and updates on litigation trends in the Eastern District of Texas, the District of Delaware, the Eastern District of Virginia, the Central District of California and other popular venues for patent trolls. According to the Stanford Law School website, the conference will focus on topics of interest such as digital copyright, Cybersecurity in the U.S. and Around the World, Patent Best Practices, Privacy Protection in the Cloud, Current Global IP Protection Issues, Data Collection and Retention, Big Data, Screen Scraping and Database Protection and Data Mining, Cloud Service – Transactional Issues.
