Greenberg Traurig Expands Litigation Practice with Addition of Eric W. Moran

NEW JERSEY – April 2, 2025 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has expanded its Litigation and White Collar Defense & Investigations practices with the addition of Eric W. Moran as a shareholder in the New Jersey and New York offices. He joins the firm from Epstein Becker Green.

Moran, a former federal prosecutor who advises companies and executives in complex civil and criminal matters, brings deep experience as a trial lawyer and in other litigation matters. He focuses on serving clients in a wide range of industries, including financial services, health care, consumer products, and government contracting, as well as False Claims Act issues.

Prior to Moran’s six-plus years as a member of the firm Epstein Becker Green, where he served on the National Litigation Steering Committee, Moran spent a decade as an assistant U.S. attorney for New Jersey, rising to chief of the Criminal Division – South and serving as deputy chief of the Criminal Division as well as attorney-in-charge of the Trenton Branch Office. He handled white collar matters, including health care and securities fraud and money laundering. As part of the Special Prosecutions Division, he also handled corruption cases, including high-profile trials.

Moran was selected as a fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers in 2022, and for the past eight years has served as an adjunct professor teaching white collar crime-related courses at Rutgers Law School in Camden. He also has been listed in the Chambers USA Guide for Litigation: White Collar Crime & Government Investigations as a “Leader in Their Field” from 2022-2024, and in The Legal 500 United States for Labor & Employment Disputes: Defense in 2019.

He earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.A. from West Virginia University.
