BERLIN – March 10, 2025 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig advised DIE Deutsche Immobilien Entwicklungs AG (DIEAG) on the sale of several project developments in Berlin. DIEAG was invested in the real estate projects together with the master fund of a professional pension fund and developed the properties.
DIEAG is transferring, amongst others, the project development BE-U | Behrens Ufer area to the master fund, following the activation of the area. It was always the intention that the master fund take over 100% of the projects at a certain point in time and that DIEAG would hand over operational management. After the building rights were determined based on an urban development contract agreement with the state and district administration, the master fund acquired DIEAG's interest in the BE-U | Behrens Ufer project. The first anchor tenants have taken up residence, and DIEAG continues to be active as a project developer in its own projects.
DIEAG was founded in 2015 and is one of the leading real estate project developers and asset managers in the German-speaking area.
Greenberg Traurig provided legal advice to DIEAG, including drafting the transaction documentation.
