Greenberg Traurig LLP has grabbed work representing a venture of Bizzi & Partners Development, Michael Shvo and New Valley LLC in their development of an 88-story condo tower in Lower Manhattan, and more than half a dozen other law firms have also gotten in on the project, including Morrison & Foerster LLP on aspects of an EB-5 loan for the building.
The project, 125 Greenwich St., is the slated to be completed in 2018 and rise to 1,017 feet, making it the 10th-tallest U.S. tower now under construction, according to data from Skyscraper Center.

“When Shvo and Bizzi decided to buy it, we were engaged to handle the acquisition. That goes back to doing the [purchase and sale] contract,” said Greenberg Traurig’s Robert J. Ivanhoe, who represents the joint venture. “They were both clients separately, and they were doing the project together.”
Greenberg Traurig had worked on other acquisitions for Shvo and had also worked on various purchases for Bizzi in New York and Florida.
