CHICAGO – Sept. 30, 2015 – Nancy A. Peterman, shareholder and co-chair of the Chicago Business Reorganization and Financial Restructuring Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the Turnaround Management Association’s “The Annual” conference Oct. 6, 2015, at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona. Peterman will speak on a panel entitled "Hot Topics in Healthcare: Game Show Style!"
“The Annual” provides three days of networking events, expert panel discussions, deal-making opportunities, and education sessions. David D. Cleary, also a shareholder in the Business Reorganization & Financial Restructuring Practice, is a member of the conference’s Planning Committee. Peterman focuses her practice on corporate restructurings, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights law, and has a wide range of experience representing debtors, purchasers of assets, committees, and secured creditors. She has substantial experience in distressed health care transactions and has played central roles in numerous health care cases. Peterman was instrumental in enacting the health care insolvency provisions of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. She has lectured and spoken extensively on health care bankruptcy issues, including co-authoring the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Health Care Insolvency Manual. She is also a former co-chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Committee on Health Care Insolvency.
