Konrad Kosicki is the head of the Energy & Natural Resources Practice in the Greenberg Traurig’s Warsaw office. He focuses his practice on matters related to the acquisition, development and financing of renewable and conventional energy projects. Konrad advises clients on regulatory issues, trading in electricity and natural gas, property rights, and other commodities including derivatives. He also has experience in representing energy companies before common courts and in arbitration proceedings. His experience also includes advising on infrastructure projects such as motorways and stadiums. Konrad often participates in conferences and seminars concerning the energy market, in particular in the field of renewable energy sources and their financing. He is the author of many publications on the subject of energy law and climate change, as well as issues of civil law. In his career, Konrad has practiced law in London, Berlin and Warsaw.

  • Represented BOURGOGNE in connection with the sale of a controlling stake in ARA Cursus, a developer and operator of biogas plants based in Poland, to SUEZ, a global leader in circular solutions for water and waste.
  • Represented Axpo Polska in connection with the negotiations and signing of a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the offtake of energy from six wind farms in Poland with DIF Capital Partners. The wind farms have a total installed capacity of 171 MW and will produce an estimated 500 GWh of electricity a year.
  • Represented VALOREM in connection with the signing of a cooperation agreement with T&T PROENERGY for the development of photovoltaic projects with a capacity of over 300 MW in Poland.
  • Represented the Vendor in the sale of Zalesie Wind Farm in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship with a capacity of nearly 25 MW to PGE Energia Odnawialna.
  • Represented Pacifico Energy Partners in the purchase of several PV portfolios with an anticipated total capacity of up to 250 MW.°
  • Represented Longwing Polska in the financing of Zalesie Wind Farm with a capacity of 25 MW, located in Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodship.° The project was financed by Bayerische Landesbank and a fund advised by EB – Sustainable Investment Management GmbH as mezzanine lender.° °
  • Represented Pacifico Energy Partners regarding the purchase of a PV portfolio with an expected capacity of up to 280 MW.°
  • Represented Alinea Solar France in the acquisition of a portfolio of nine biogas plants in Poland.°
  • Advised Eolfi, on the sale of four wind farm projects with a capacity exceeding 170 MW to Quadran (currently Qair).°
  • Advised Longwing Energy on the development of Banie and Zalesie wind farms.°
  • Advised Longwing Energy on the financing of Zalesie wind farm.°

  • Prepared legal opinions and transaction documentation with respect to trade in emission allowances and Kyoto units.°
  • Advised PGE Electra with respect to preparation of a comprehensive legal opinion concerning trading in emission allowances and derivatives based on emission allowances over-the-counter (OTC), on a regulated market and on commodity exchange.°
  • Advised Japanese investors on the purchase of AAUs from the Polish government.°
  • Advised Tauron on the centralisation of trade in emission allowances and green certificates.°
  • Advised Vattenfall on all the regulatory and contractual issues related to the issuance and sale of AAUs in connection with emissions reductions generated by its wind project in Poland.°

  • Advised on the emission trading documentation for ORBEO including negotiation of the agreement.°
