Mathew B. Hoffman focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments, PIPEs, strategic alliances, investment management, and specialty finance matters. He represents investors and issuers on a variety of corporate finance and venture capital matters. He counsels investment funds on legal, compliance, and fund-related matters, as well as emerging growth companies, investment funds, and other principal investors in connection with private placements, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and other corporate financing activities.

Mathew was previously General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Prentice Capital Management, LP, where he oversaw all legal and compliance matters concerning the firm, its funds and managed accounts. He counseled the principals on trading and risk assessment matters; initiated, developed, and adopted policies and procedures; and advised the firm on formation, structure, and terms for newly developed funds.
