David Blattner focuses his practice on complex real estate transactions. With more than 25 years of experience in the acquisition, financing, and development of large projects, he advises clients on deals involving shopping centers, executive parks, office buildings, marinas, warehouses, hotels, flex projects, single-family and multi-family residential developments, and condominiums. He assists with the negotiation and closing of significant credit facilities for the acquisition and construction of virtually all types of real estate projects, including revolving and term loans, working capital lines of credit, and other real estate and asset-based loans.
David represents developers, domestic corporations, multinational corporations, banks, financial institutions, condominium and homeowner’s associations, property management companies, landlords, and tenants throughout Florida, the United States, Canada, South America, and Asia.
David is passionate about “green urbanism” and serves as the 2022 Chairman of the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Sustainability Advisory Board. This group’s goal is to identify and make recommendations that establish the city as a leader in environmental sustainability.

Capabilities
Experience
- Represented Lenders in $60 million forbearance and loan modification of hotel and country club loan.°
- Represented tenant in negotiating 80,000 square foot, single occupant office building lease for corporate headquarters in Broward County.°
- Represented owners of the largest independent used-car dealership in the United States in the purchase of a $17.36 million waterfront residential property in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Handled closing for the 27-room, 17,000 sq. foot property which was the most expensive single-family home transaction in the city over the previous 18 months.°
- Represented funeral homes and cemeteries, assisting them in the acquisition and disposition of properties as well as the licensing of funeral homes and cemeteries with the Florida Board of Funeral and Cemetery Services. He has represented licensees in disciplinary matters before the state agencies.°
