LONDON – Jan. 31, 2025 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP has ranked first in a number of categories for mid-market restructurings, and in the top 10 for large-cap restructurings with a total debt size of over €250 million, in Octus’ (formerly Reorg) Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Restructuring Advisor Rankings 2024.

The firm performed equally strongly in the company-side, creditor-side, and equity league tables, with key accolades including:

  • Number 1 for total mid-market company-side mandates
  • Number 1 for ongoing mid-market company-side mandates
  • Number 1 for closed mid-market equity mandates
  • Number 3 for closed large-cap equity mandates
  • Number 6 for total large-cap company side mandates
  • Number 6 for ongoing large-cap company side mandates
  • Number 8 for total large-cap mandates in 2024 overall 

Octus’ EMEA Restructuring Advisor Rankings analyse the engagements of both legal and financial advisors in newly initiated restructurings, according to the publication.

Octus’ recognition caps a highly successful year for Greenberg Traurig’s Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice in the EMEA region. The London team recently advised Harland & Wolff, the historic shipbuilder behind the construction of the Titanic, and its joint administrators, on a pre-pack administration sale in a deal valued at approximately £70 million, securing more than 1,000 British jobs. Earlier in the year, a cross-border Berlin and London team advised senior creditors on the Part 26 A restructuring plan for Project Fürst, a German real estate development backed by international lenders, which was sanctioned by the English High Court in March 2024. The team were shortlisted for Restructuring Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2024.
