PHOENIX—Feb. 14, 2019—Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Phoenix office is collaborating with Arizona State University (ASU) in the ASU Diversity Legal Writing program. The program is committed to broadening learning opportunities for ASU law students who self-identify as members of minority groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession.
This year, Greenberg Traurig is hosting Jada Allender, who attends Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU, where she is also earning a Master’s degree in Sports Law and Business. Allender earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Oregon’s Charles H. Lundquist College of Business.
“We are thrilled to again work alongside ASU on this outstanding program, which allows students to sharpen their legal writing and research skills while developing practical work experience,” said Of Counsel Paul M. Gales, who is leading the program for Greenberg Traurig.
Through the program, students have the opportunity to hone their legal writing, experience private law firm environments, and develop relationships with Phoenix attorneys. Greenberg Traurig provides funds that are used as a scholarship for its participating student.
“I’m extremely grateful both to Greenberg Traurig and ASU for this wonderful opportunity and excited to dive into program,” said Allender.
