Greenberg Traurig Elevates 2 Attorneys in New Jersey Office

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – March 12, 2019 –  Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated Andrew W. Scher to shareholder and Nicholas Martin to of counsel. Scher and Martin both reside in the firm’s New Jersey office.

Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig announced the elevation of 32 attorneys to shareholder and 27 to of counsel/counsel in more than 20 areas of legal practice. The firm, which earlier this year opened its 30th office in the United States and 39th worldwide, also reported a fifth consecutive year of record revenue of more than USD $1.55 Billion, an increase of USD $80 Million over 2017.

Scher has wide-ranging experience advising clients on large and complex corporate transactions. He has primarily counseled companies in the electric and gas industries, leading to the construction of electric generating facilities with values in excess of $3 billion, including solar and wind energy generating projects with values in excess of $1 billion.

Martin concentrates his practice intellectual property and technology matters. His experience includes a number of patent litigation matters involving a variety of technologies and industries including Internet applications, mobile platforms, communication networks and online search. Martin also has prosecution experience in the electrical, computer science, mechanical, business methods and medical arts, including technological areas such as mobile platforms and applications, web server operations, interactive audio/video distribution and processing systems, social networking platforms, and Internet advertising.
