Nationally, Greenberg Traurig, LLP earns most overall first-tier rankings and Law Firm of the Year for Information Technology Law
PHILADELPHIA – Nov. 6, 2018 – The Philadelphia office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP claimed five first-tier rankings in the latest U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” report.
Environmental Law, Environmental Litigation, Water Law, Labor & Employment Litigation, and Public Finance Law earned Greenberg Traurig Tier 1 rankings for the Philadelphia metropolitan area of the national survey.

Greenberg Traurig received the most overall first-tier rankings in the United States and also was recognized as “Law Firm of the Year” for Information Technology Law in the 2019 edition of this report. Only one firm is named “Law Firm of the Year” for select nationally ranked practice areas.
According to U.S. News – Best Lawyers, firms included in the 2019 “Best Law Firms” are recognized for “professional excellence with persistently impressive ratings from clients and peers.” According to the publication, achieving a tiered ranking “signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise.”
For the 2019 edition, U.S. News – Best Lawyers reported receiving more than one million law firm assessments from more than 16,000 attorneys and received over 100,000 evaluations from nearly 12,000 clients. According to the U.S. News – Best Lawyers press release the 2019 rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and highest number of client ballots on record.
To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 4 percent of practicing attorneys in the United States.
Additionally, for the 12th consecutive year, Greenberg Traurig has more attorneys included in the related Best Lawyers in America guide than any other law firm listed.
