Greenberg Traurig Adds Two Real Estate Teams in Warsaw

Three years almost to the day after adding about 50 attorneys from Dewey & LeBoeuf as that firm was approaching bankruptcy, Greenberg Traurig is growing its Warsaw office once again, this time with 12 lawyers, the firm announced Wednesday. The additions come from the Warsaw offices of Allen & Overy and Norton Rose Fulbright.

When Greenberg Traurig first opened in Warsaw with corporate M&A, private equity, capital markets and tax lawyers from Dewey & LeBoeuf, the firm’s leaders discussed the importance of building a strong real estate practice as well, according to Greenberg Traurig CEO Richard Rosenbaum.

“Over the last few years we’ve noticed a growing significance of real estate as an asset class and as a sector of interest to investors all over the world,” Rosenbaum says. “Having said that, we would only grow the group that we already had if we could find the very best quality. So we were patient and waited until we could find the right people.”
