BOSTON - April 6, 2015 - Greenberg Traurig, LLP Labor & Employment attorneys, Terence P. McCourt and Justin F. Keith, will hold an educational webinar on the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) new union election rules Tuesday, April 7, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EST. The new rules are scheduled to go into effect April 14, 2015.
McCourt and Keith will discuss the sweeping changes to the NLRB’s union election rules, which will dramatically reduce the amount of time employers have to communicate with employees before they vote on union representation. Specific topics include:
- Overview of the NLRB’s quickie election rules and what employers need to know to be ready by April 14, 2015;
- Current legal challenges to the rules and the President’s March 31st veto of a bid to block the new union election rules;
- Protecting against piecemeal organizing and “micro units;” and
- Creating and deploying SWAT teams to respond swiftly to a union petition.
