NEW YORK - March 4, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has launched a new blog focused on helping summer associates prepare for and get the most from the firm’s summer program.
The Summer Associate Highway blog, managed by the firm’s Legal Recruitment team, will cover a variety of topics including what to expect from summer assignments, advice on networking, and the latest news on firm matters, rankings, and pro bono efforts. Contributors to the blog include Greenberg Traurig legal recruiters as well as attorneys who were once summer associates with the firm, or who work with those offered a position in the program. Summer associates will also have an opportunity to contribute posts once the program begins in May.
“An important objective of Greenberg Traurig’s program is for summer associates to transition from student to legal practitioner,” said Brad D. Kaufman, who leads the firm’s Associate Development Program and is co-chair of its Securities Litigation Group. “Therefore, we are focusing on topics that will provide insight into the program, the firm, and the ‘real world’ that will help that transition be smooth and successful.”
With the addition of the Summer Associate Highway, the firm now publishes 15 blogs, the majority of which cover legal developments important to firm clients.
