SILICON VALLEY, Calif. -- Oct. 21, 2015 -- Ian C. Ballon, a shareholder with international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the upcoming Privacy and Security Forum Oct. 21-23 at the George Washington University Marvin Center in Washington, D.C.
According the to the Privacy + Security Forum website, the conference offers an intellectual discourse that reaches across the various facets of the privacy and security space. Privacy professionals and security professionals, chief information officers, attorneys, policymakers, academics, experts from NGOs and think tanks, and technology specialists will connect and collaborate in a collaborative and engaging environment.
Ballon will present during the “Privacy and Security Film and TV Club” session, which features top experts discussing films and TV series with privacy and security themes. The session will explore whether privacy and security is portrayed realistically, and panelists will discuss what they believe to be the best privacy and security movie of all time.
An intellectual property and Internet/mobile privacy and security litigator, Ballon has served as lead counsel in winning or otherwise successfully defending many cutting edge data privacy, behavioral advertising, and TCPA class action suits.
Ballon splits his time between the firm's Silicon Valley and Los Angeles offices. He is the author of West’s best-selling four-volume legal treatise on cybersecurity and data privacy law, E-Commerce and Internet Law: Treatise With Forms 2d Edition (Thomson West 2014 Cum.
