Amanda A. Williams is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has considerable knowledge representing corporations and other personnel in virtually all phases of employment-related litigation from risk-management through trial and appeal. Amanda regularly handles matters involving employment disputes, including claims of race, disability, gender, and age discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, workers’ compensation, family medical leave policies, and in litigation involving business torts, trade secrets, non-competes, and non-solicitation and employment agreements. In addition, she routinely counsels clients on day-to-day employment-related matters, including disciplinary actions, accommodations, hiring, and firing employees and conducts internal investigations, reviews and prepares client-specific policies and procedures, and provides training for employers. Texas Super Lawyers has recognized Amanda as a “Rising Star” from 2015 to the present.

  • Obtained summary judgment for national massage therapy Franchise in a sexual harassment case in which the EEOC issued a for-cause determination.°
  • Obtained summary judgment for a correctional facility in a sexual harassment, sex/race discrimination, and retaliation case.°
  • Obtained several rulings and dismissals of Charges of Discrimination filed with the EEOC and TWC against numerous employers.°
  • Provided employment related training to managers, human resources personnel, employees, and other representatives regarding premises liability, claims handling, consumer protection, and general liability, etc.°
  • Negotiated settlements on behalf of numerous clients in matters involving personal injury, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of employment contracts, age, gender, national origin, disability, and other forms of discrimination/harassment/retaliation, etc.°
