On Oct. 5, Ballon will present “A Deep Dive into CPRA Litigation and Its Compliance Implications,” discussing the five elements of California Consumer Privacy Act cases, as well as how they might appear in litigation. Ballon also will discuss the contract provisions in California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) litigation, among other topics.
Abernethy will present “California’s Delete Act: Definitions, Deletions, and Disclosures” on Oct. 6. The panel will discuss the basic requirements of California’s forthcoming Delete Act, the expansive definition of “data broker” under California law, the new law’s intersection with the CCPA, and its practical considerations for affected businesses.
