HOUSTON – July 11, 2023 – Richard A. Crow, a Real Estate of counsel in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Houston office, is chair-elect of the State Bar of Texas' Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law (REPTL) Section.
Crow will begin a year-long term as chair-elect July 13 and will assume the role of chair in July 2024. Most recently, Crow served as treasurer of the section. He previously held the position of council member and chair of the Real Estate Legislative Affairs Committee.
Created in 1939, REPTL is the second oldest section of the State Bar of Texas. The section comprises lawyers and law students who practice or have an interest in the fields of real estate, probate, or trust law. It is the largest section of the State Bar, with over 9,200 members and its mission is to provide support to its members and other attorneys practicing real estate, probate, or trust law in Texas.
Crow is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He focuses his practice on commercial real estate matters, including acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and disposition. Crow represents a range of clients including quick service restaurant chains, land developers, office and retail landlords and tenants, real estate investors, and one of the largest public junior college systems in the United States. He has also represented high-profile Houston-based restaurateurs in connection with real estate leases and land acquisitions.
