Greenberg Traurig Advises HR Tech Company expertlead on Joint Venture with Volkswagen Subsidiary CARIAD

Greenberg Traurig advised Berlin-based tech start-up expertlead on its joint venture with CARIAD, an automotive software company in the Volkswagen Group. The aim of the joint venture, called Futurepath, is, according to the company, to bring together tech experts worldwide in order to implement innovative mobility projects across the group and brands.

Greenberg Traurig provided expertlead with comprehensive advice on all aspects of corporate and antitrust law in connection with the joint venture.

For the recruiting of tech talents, CARIAD has been working with expertlead since last fall. This partnership has resulted in the joint venture Futurepath, in which expertlead holds 51 percent and CARIAD 49 percent. Futurepath offers a variety of services to help the Volkswagen subsidiary find specialists. According to Futurepath, the focus is primarily on experts in the fields of artificial intelligence, software development, big data, agile project and product management, automated and autonomous driving, and UX-/UI design.
