MIAMI – Nov. 18, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is pleased to announce that the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce has named the firm a 2015 recipient of its U.S.—Spain Company of the Year Award. The annual award honors the firm for its significant contribution to the development of economic and commercial ties between the United States and Spain.

The award will be presented at the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 19 in Miami, Florida. The event brings together business leaders from the United States, Spain and Latin America. Greenberg Traurig will be honored, along with Iberia Airlines.
In selecting Greenberg Traurig, the President of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce Lauro Bravar said that the firm stood out for its “excellent work” on behalf of clients, particularly Spanish entrepreneurs and strategic investors operating in, or investing into, the United States. “Thanks to the firm’s expertise, resources and international reach, Greenberg Traurig is creating a better world by working with companies to leverage their bilateral relationships to take advantage of trade, investment and economic cooperation,” Bravar said.

Peña, licensed in Florida and Mexico and an alumni of Spain’s Universidad de Navarra, represents a significant number of Spanish companies investing in the United States and Latin America. Peña is a member of the team that received the 2015 “Corporate/M&A Law Firm of the Year – International Counsel in Latin America” award from Chambers and Partners. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
