BERLIN - 27 June, 2024 – On June 21, 2024, Frankfurter Sparkasse concluded a purchase agreement for the acquisition of the property “An der Hauptwache 1” in Frankfurt's city center, where it intends to build its new headquarters. The creditors' meeting of the seller company, which is part of the SIGNA Group, had previously approved the sale.
The company filed for insolvency at the Berlin Charlottenburg district court on January 17 of this year. Insolvency administrator Torsten Martini from the law firm GÖRG initiated a structured sales process at the beginning of March. Frankfurter Sparkasse has now been able to prevail in the proceedings. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or any further details.
