Greenberg Traurig London Adds Finance Lawyer Sierra M. Taylor

LONDON – 25 April, 2023 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP expands its Finance capabilities with the addition of Shareholder Sierra M. Taylor in the firm’s London office. Taylor joins from Paul Hastings, where she was a partner focused on finance relating primarily to real estate and funds.

Taylor focuses her practice on banking and finance matters, concentrating on real estate finance and fund finance transactions. She represents major European and international banks, as well as investment funds and debt funds. Taylor advises lenders and funds in respect to facilities for funds of funds, master-feeder structures, subscription lines, NAV facilities, hybrid facilities and other borrowing base facilities. Her experience includes advising across a wide range of real estate related transactions, including straight investment loans, development facilities, hotel financing and loan-on-loan financing.

“Sierra is a welcome addition, bringing further depth and breadth to our growing Fund and Real Estate Finance practices which are integral components of our global brand,” Greenberg Traurig Executive Chairman Richard A. Rosenbaum said.

“Our firm is highly active in advising fund managers on their fund-raising activities, secondaries, and their underlying investment programmes. The financing of funds during their life cycle and secondaries transactions is increasingly a more bespoke and complex area. Sierra’s deep experience in fund finance is a great complement to our team in London, Europe, and around the world,” said Steven Cowins, Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Fund Practice.

Taylor’s work includes cross-border transactions in the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy, where Greenberg Traurig has established offices.

“I was attracted to Greenberg Traurig’s collaborative European and global platform which offers deep experience in finance, real estate and the funds sector. Working with talented professionals across jurisdictions in related practices and being able to tap into their specific industry and country know-how will enhance the provision of seamless service to my clients,” Taylor said.

The addition of Taylor is part of the firm’s strategic expansion to provide deep coverage and a wide range of services in its real estate funds practice in London and across Europe to meet client demand. Financial Regulatory Shareholder Tim Dolan joined in January and both hires are a testament to the firm’s commitment to building a team that collaboratively advises on the full life cycle of investment funds, from inception though deployment and exit to final liquidation, against a backdrop of the rapidly evolving financial services landscape.
