A multi-office European team at global law firm Greenberg Traurig advised British investment manager ActivumSG Capital Management (Activum) on the acquisition of a majority stake in Odyssey Hotel Group (Odyssey). The acquisition of the Dutch hotel operator was made by the fund "Activum SG Real Estate Fund VI". The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Odyssey operates hotels in Europe with a focus on Germany and the Netherlands. The company currently operates 12 hotels with 1,940 rooms and has a pipeline of 20 more hotels.
The Greenberg Traurig team, under the joint leadership of Peter Schorling and Martijn Hermus, included lawyers from the firm’s offices in the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Members comprehensively advised Activum on all legal aspects of the transaction by way of a share deal.
Background: Activum is a long-standing client of the firm in its Germany office. The Amsterdam office has also advised the investment manager on several transactions.
