FORT LAUDERDALE – January 7, 2019 – Avi Benayoun, a Litigation Shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been appointed to the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) Advisory Council at Duke University School of Law.
“I am honored to join EDRM in working to shape the evolution of e-discovery and helping ensure that technology advances the administration of justice,” said Benayoun.
EDRM is a community of e-discovery and legal professionals who create practical resources to improve e-discovery and information governance. As technology radically transforms litigation and the legal profession, EDRM members collaboratively develop vital frameworks, standards, educational tools, and other resources to guide the adoption and use of e-discovery technologies.
With nearly two decades of experience, Avi Benayoun is a seasoned litigator who brings strategic solutions to complex legal matters while leveraging modern-day technology to deliver efficient and effective legal solutions to his clients. With a background rooted in finance and economics, he is a business-focused commercial litigator and problem solver with deep experience handling complex commercial disputes in virtually every forum. This includes litigation on behalf of Fortune 500, middle market, and start-up companies, as well as individuals.
Benayoun also has deep eDiscovery and eRetention experience which makes him particularly valuable as he can, and often does, eliminate the need to hire separate counsel to address and handle complex eDiscovery and eRetention requirements present in nearly every modern-day litigation matter.
