MEXICO CITY – March 2, 2018 – The Mexico City office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated Carmina Mogollón González and José Antonio Butrón Quintero to shareholder. Mogollón González previously served as of counsel with the firm. Butrón Quintero had served as senior associate.

Firmwide the firm announced the elevation of 42 attorneys to shareholder from 21 of the firm’s offices and 14 practice areas. Female attorneys make up 50 percent of Greenberg Traurig’s firmwide 2018 new shareholder class. The firm reported firmwide revenue for FY2017 of $1,477,180,000, an increase of 7.28 percent over 2016. This is the fourth consecutive year of record-setting revenues for the firm. Additionally, the firm’s Profit per Equity Partner increased 5.42 percent to a record $1,634,000.

Mogollón González focuses her practice on global data protection and privacy matters. In her new role, she will continue to advise clients on complex issues related to evaluating and strategically managing personal data protection. Mogollón González is also experienced on a variety of commercial matters involving the development and implementation of information privacy as it relates to mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and other transactional issues. Licensed in Mexico, she holds a Law Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master’s in International Business from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in Grenoble, France.
Butrón Quintero focuses his practice on project finance, mergers and acquisitions, banking, structured finance and securitizations, capital markets, and corporate law matters. In his new role, he will continue to represent leading Mexican and U.S. clients on domestic and cross-border transactions. Licensed in Mexico and New York, he holds an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a graduate degree in business from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Law Degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho.
