HOUSTON – March 25, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP elevated four Texas attorneys, Elizabeth Ross Hadley, Pamela L. Horowitz, Steven V. Walkowiak, and Tara M. Williams to of counsel in its Austin, Dallas, and Houston offices. Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig elevated 32 attorneys to shareholder and 20 to of counsel positions in 2015, in keeping with the firm’s strategic focus on strengthening key areas of practice with top-tier practitioners.
- Hadley, a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Government Law and Policy Practice in the firm’s Austin office, focuses on government law and policy and litigation matters. She counsels clients on federal and state legislative policy issues, including insurance regulation, economic development, health care policy, and campaign finance compliance. Hadley has wide-ranging litigation experience, including representation of financial institutions, health care providers, public and private corporations, and state governmental entities. She received her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
- Horowitz, a member of the firm’s Global Energy and Infrastructure Practice and Corporate and Securities Practice in its Houston office, represents clients in the energy industry in a wide range of complex transactions, including private and public securities offerings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and acquisitions and dispositions of energy-related assets. Horowitz advises commercial lenders and corporate clients in financing transactions and private placement of debt instruments, particularly oil and gas financings, and cross-border transactions. She received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
- Walkowiak, a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Litigation Practice in the firm’s Dallas office, focuses primarily on complex commercial disputes, compliance, and securities and shareholder litigation. He represents clients in state and federal court, and before FINRA arbitration panels. He routinely handles antitrust matters in a broad range of industries and is experienced in virtually all aspects of franchise litigation. Walkowiak defends investment firms against claims brought by customers of the firms and claims brought by third parties. He received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
- Williams, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice in its Houston office, focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation and transactional matters, including patent and trademark litigation, licensing, patent and trademark prosecution, and trade secret litigation. A registered patent attorney, her experience spans across a wide range of technologies related to semiconductors and electronics, wireless data transmission and communications, oilfield services, chemical processes and manufacturing, ophthalmologic devices and procedures, and consumer electronics and appliances. She received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
