William Lo is an Of Counsel in the London Real Estate Finance team. With over 15 years of experience in advising on the financing of real estate assets and on the acquisition, disposal and financing of real estate asset loan portfolios, William’s practice spans a variety of UK, pan-European, and global transactions, covering a diverse range of real estate assets including hotels, commercial and residential building complexes, health care, and logistics centres.
William represents both lender and corporate clients, including financial institutions (both banks and alternative lenders), publicly listed and private multinational corporations, joint ventures, international fund managers, and private equity.
He has continually been recognised and recommended for Property Finance in the Legal 500 UK, including most recently in the 2024 edition. Clients note that William is “very committed and easy to work with”, and is “friendly, helpful and yet still maintains the professionalism and focus on delivery of a successful result”.

- Acted for one of Qatar’s largest private groups on its £200 million acquisition of a world-renowned branded luxury hotel in Leicester Square, central London.°
- Acted for an investment fund on its participation in the £325 million financing of The Walbrook Building in central London.°
- Acted for a financial institution on its arrangement and financing of a development of a new Crowne Plaza Hotel in Embankment, central London.°
- Represented a consortium of investors on the refinancing of £650 million of prime central London properties, one of the large refinancing deals in the history of the UK private rented sector.°
