Ashburn, managing shareholder of the Tallahassee office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was named to the News Service of Florida’s inaugural 50 Over 50 list, which recognizes Florida’s most accomplished leaders whose contributions have helped shape the state’s future.

The 50 Over 50 honorees were recognized during the News Service of Florida’s awards dinner April 16 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Tallahassee, highlighting their many contributions to government, business, and media.

“I am honored to be included in the News Service of Florida’s inaugural 50 Over 50 list alongside so many accomplished leaders who are helping to shape the future of our state,” Ashburn said. “This recognition is a testament to the constant support of my wife and family, the incredible clients and colleagues I’ve had the privilege of working with throughout my career, and the impactful results we’ve achieved together for our community.”

Ashburn was recognized for his leadership within Greenberg Traurig and the Tallahassee community, as well as his successes advising high-profile clients throughout Florida, including representing Florida State University’s Board of Trustees in litigation against the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) regarding media rights contracts.

His clients include hospitals and other institutional health care providers, financial advisers and brokers, lenders and investors, and more.

A Tallahassee native, Ashburn is committed to giving back to his community. He has served as a multidecade board member for the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, a fixture of the city’s cultural scene since 1979. He also is a board member for the Southern Scholarship Foundation, a nonprofit that provides rent-free housing and cooperative living for financially strained, often first-generation college students statewide, helping them achieve their educational goals.
