Greenberg Traurig advised HanseMerkur Holding AG on the acquisition of approximately 6.7% of the shares of HSV Fußball AG (HSV). The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction or the purchase price.
HanseMerkur has been the exclusive partner of HSV since the 2018/19 season. Since the 2022/23 season, the insurance group has been the main sponsor of the men’s professional team, the first women's team, and the youth teams. By becoming a shareholder, HanseMerkur is expanding its existing commitment and intends to further support the development of HSV.
