Stephen B. Edmundson Elected Texas Association of Defense Counsel's District 20 Director

HOUSTON – Oct. 5, 2023 – Stephen B. Edmundson, of counsel in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Houston office, has been elected to the board of directors for the Texas Association of Defense Counsel (TADC) as director for District 20.

“I welcome the opportunity to serve on the TADC board and look forward to working alongside fellow board members to advance its mission,” Edmundson said.

As District 20 director, Edmundson’s primary duties include assistance with TADC’s policies on advancing the Texas civil jury system, young lawyer mentorship, member events, membership, continuing education through CLE programs and publications, and legislative priorities regarding the Texas judicial system and procedures, all with a focus on promoting these policies within the Houston/Galveston region. His current term on the board is for two years. Edmundson joined TADC in 1997.

According to its website, TADC is a professional organization of civil trial attorneys dedicated to promoting excellence in its members, fairness in the judicial system, and the preservation of the right to jury trial for all citizens.

Edmundson is a broad-based commercial defense litigator with deep experience handling business, insurance, construction, personal injury, and property loss disputes. Through this work, he has represented companies and individuals in a wide variety of industries, including energy, insurance, construction, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, entertainment, and professional services. Edmundson has first-chair trial experience in federal court, state court, and arbitration, and he routinely defends his clients' trial court outcomes on appeal.
