WASHINGTON D.C. – June 26, 2020 — Shareholder Gil Rudolph and Of Counsel Darren Abernethy of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP spoke at the Real Estate Services Providers Council (RESPRO) Annual Conference held virtually on June 23-24.
Rudolph participated in the panel titled, “Regulatory Compliance for Home Builders.” The panelists addressed some of the unique business considerations home builders must factor in as they balance potential risks and rewards in a constantly shifting state and federal regulatory environment.
Abernethy participated in the panel titled, “Data Sharing, Privacy, Security and Access for Affiliated Businesses.” The speakers delved into how they are guiding clients through a changing landscape in the areas of privacy and data sharing and security, including in relation to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Rudolph is co-chair of the firm’s Financial Regulatory and Compliance Practice. He focuses his practice on the representation of finance companies, banks, mortgage originators and servicers, retail installment transaction financers, and other consumer financial service providers in regulatory and litigation matters.
Abernethy is a data privacy attorney who advises clients on matters related to advertising technology, privacy, data breach management, and FTC best practices.
He focuses on the CCPA, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)/ePrivacy, digital advertising, direct marketing, and IP-related transactional matters.
