MCLEAN, Va. – Nov. 6, 2015 – Kemal Hawa, a shareholder in the Northern Virginia office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the fourth annual Southwest Data Center Summit Nov. 9-10 at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. The summit is an opportunity to meet with leading data center real estate and technology infrastructure executives. Greenberg Traurig is also a sponsor of the Southwest Data Center Summit.
As part of the summit on Nov. 10, Hawa, a frequent speaker on data center issues, will host the featured interview “Up Close with eBay.” He will interview eBay Global Counsel Spencer Viernes.
Hawa focuses his practice on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on the telecommunications, media, and technology industries, domestically and internationally. He regularly advises public and private companies, private equity firms, investment banks, and creditors’ committees on a variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcies and restructurings, investments, financing arrangements, licensing agreements, and commercial transactions. Hawa assists clients with the negotiation of transactions in the cloud computing space, including the negotiation of data center and colocation leases globally. Hawa also has significant experience in the negotiation of network infrastructure transactions, including submarine cable systems (builds, financings, and capacity procurement), as well as terrestrial fiber optic network transactions.
