The Litigation and Arbitration Team of Greenberg Traurig in Poland is an integral part of the International Arbitration and International Litigation Group in Greenberg Traurig (International Dispute Resolution). Cooperation between attorneys from Greenberg Traurig offices in various jurisdictions enables us to provide services related to complicated international disputes, both of a commercial nature (based on private law) and of an investment nature (based on international public law). Additionally, lawyers from the Warsaw Office act as arbitrators in domestic and international disputes.
With regard to litigation, Greenberg Traurig also provides pro bono services to persons who cannot afford to pay for legal assistance. In particular, we worked hand-in-hand with the Helsinki Human Rights Foundation in connection with a groundbreaking case aimed at demonstrating the unconstitutional nature of the Polish provisions on compulsory ejection from service of police officers who test HIV-positive, for which our lawyers received the PILnet European Pro Bono Award 2011 and an award from the National AIDS Center.
